The Ultimate Poker Series was formed in June 2009.  The concept is to provide a range of different poker tournaments in a variety of different formats in Clubs and Pubs accross the country.  The Ultimate Poker Series is committed to providing hosting venues with a viable source of income whilst providing players with a Friendly, non-threatening environemtn where they can learn to play and increase their skills.

Ultimate Poker Series being a Local West Australian Company, has developed a range of different poker games to challenge players of all skill levels.  The types of poker games that are available are; No-Limit Holdem, Limit/No-Limit Ohmaha, Razz, Stud, Eight or Better and HORSE.

The Ultimate Poker Series also offers the games in different environments, Free Poker Tournaments and Cash Poker Tournaments (where the players buy in to win money).

How it works
Every player that plays with the Ultimate Poker Series recieves a membership card.  This card hold all the players information.  Each player uses their membership card to register to play in an Ultimate Poker Series Event.  All registered players then play in an elimination style tournament until there is just 1 player remaining.

Each person that registers in the tournament will recieve 10 points for registering the event.  As the players get eliminated, they are required to go to the registration computer and scan themselves back out of the tournament.  This enable an accurate ranking to be given to the players and also gives them an additional 5points for logging out.

As the player numbers reduce 'bonus' points are awarded depending on where player finish in the event.  Bonus points are currently awarded in the following way:
16th - 10th 15 points + bonus points equivelent to the number of players who entered the event.
9th 15 points + 10 bonus points + bonus points equivelent to the number of players who entered the event.
8th 15 points + 20 bonus points + bonus points equivelent to the number of players who entered the event.

UPS Invitational and How to qualify.

The UPS Invitational is the Ultimate Poker Series's Manin event.  Every 3 months the Ultimate Poker Series will invite players to play in its Main event.  The UPS donates $10 per week into the Invitational prize pool + $5 for every player that plays in the Monthly RoundUp qualifiying events.

For a UPS player to be eligable to be invited to the UPS Invitational, players must play at least 1 UPS Monthly RoundUp in the qualifying period. (A qualifying period is a quarter, Jul - Sep, Oct - Dec, Jan - Mar and Apr - Jun).  Players are then required to play in a minimum of 25 Ultimate Poker Series Events to be eligible for Invitation.

The UPS has the ability to offer invitations to Non-Qualified players (players who have played in a Monthly RoundUp but not enough games) but these players will be required to pay double the Tournament entry value to play in the UPS Invitational.  The extra fee will go towards boosting the Invitational prize pool.

The Ultimate Poker Series will allocate a maximum allowable number of players allowed to participate in the UPS Invitational by the following formula.  For every Venue that hosts an Ultimate Poker Series event1, 5 Ultimate Poker Series members may be invited to the Ultimate Poker Series Invitational.
